I am kicking inactives

Postby blaydwin on Fri Jan 30, 2009 7:23 am

Anyone who is ranked fat dragon sleeper will be kicked On January 31st

If anyone has any comments as to keep certain people, let me know before i kick them.

I have sent Illy and JT posts about this in the past with no response.

It is in our guild rules that inactive members will be kicked. and im tired of paying the extra upkeep cost on all our guild structures for people who dont pull their weight, not to mention it does not give anyone an incentive to be active or mention vacation if there is no concequence for being inactive.

it is in our guild rules that inactives CAN be kicked anytime.

i have no problem with that. but before kicking them take a look at guild storage and the items the inactives hold. i dont want them to get lost because guild storage is full...

You should definatly be sure that they are not like extra guild store spaces first I agree with that. Having a 30 item backpack mostly full of guild stuff I understand the loss of that storage space. I would also make sure they are not active as you say and if they are active or have been recently then I would say it is a good idea to maybe keep them on to see if this makes them more active.

I agree
Arm wrestling is an unsafe way of settling conflicts, because someone could break their arm. You're Better solving disagreements with a fight to the death.

several have been kicked, and im waiting on more guild storage space to kick the rest. If anyone has free space in their backpacks please carry guild items.

Inactives must be kicked quickly for several reasons

1) if we dont maintain the rules of our guild that we have set out, then no one will
2) inactives cost us gold every single hour in upkeep for our structures... our guild deposits have been shrinking and at this rate we will not have enough gold to pay for structures by mid august.
3) just because inactives carry guild gear does not give us a reason to kick them. We have too much gear as it is. Somethings must be carried by active members regardless, but the guardians need to be selling off useless stuff.
4) if we do not kick inactives people will not feel the pressure to level regularly, they will see that there is no consequence to being inactive and it will be a constant cycle of inactivity
5) we can fill the space with people who are active. We are below our guild lock xp, now is a good time to start fresh and get a bunch of new recruits that will stick it out for a long time. We will never get past our locked xp if we do not take on new recruits.
